Canvas Transfer

A canvas transfer is the next best thing to the original artwork and establishes value for your published art. The process is meticulous but the end result speaks for itself.

Lifting the inked surface from the published print and removing 95% of the paper backing allows us to heat-seal art unto the canvas alongside an invisible protective UV film. The transferred canvas gets back-stapled over a solid wood frame and finished with your choice of side edge finish.

To better suite your style or decor, below are descriptions of each edge finish for your canvas transfer at no extra charge:

• Edge #1: 3/4″ – Black gallery box: best edge for framing
• Edge #2: 1-1/4″ – Black gallery box: our most popular
• Edge #3: 3/4″ – Image wrap: image shrinks 3/4″ all around
• Edge #4: 1-1/4″ – Image wrap: image shrinks 1-1/4″ all around
• Edge #5: 3/4″ – Semi image wrap: image retains height
• Edge #6: 1-1/4″ – Semi image wrap: image retains height

Semi-image Edge #5 and Edge #6 are a compromise having an image edge on each of the left and right sides and the hardly seen top and bottom are black edged (canvassed art retains full height).

Remember if you choose Edges #3, #4, #5 & #6 that art will be wrapped over the sides and may be lost from the frontal view. So if your art has a signature on the bottom too close to an edge, you may want to avoid having it end up on the side of the canvas by choosing Edge #1 or #2.

Brushstrokes

You will love the result of a finished canvas transfer but we can enhance the canvas with acrylic and oil brushstrokes. Our team of artists use 3 different matte, satin and semi-gloss buildups using both brush and spatula carefully applied to the canvas replicating the contours and making it seem like an original (not suited for photography).

Wood Mount

A wood mount is a sleek, stylish finish allowing you to display your art beautifully. The chosen published print gets mounted onto a Masonite board, laminated with either a matte or gloss UV coating, based on your selection, and finally mounted onto our 1-¼” solid wood frame. The sides of the solid wood frame are hand painted matte black for a beautiful artisan touch.

You have the option between these two finishes:

• Finish #1: Resin gloss finish. The gloss finish provides a nice shine to the art and gives a beautiful effect.
• Finish #2: Dull matte finish. Leaves the surface of your art matte so there will not be any reflections no matter the viewing angle.

Acrylic

There isn’t a medium out there that is quite as modern and elegant looking as acrylic. Every art gets that minimalistic, simplistic touch of beauty when it is mounted on a well crafted acrylic display. This medium is particularly beautiful for any room with a modern decor. Every acrylic is comes with a 1.5 inch border of extra acrylic around each art with a slightly rounded corner for a stylish look.

To finish your acrylic, you have the choice between two very unique and interesting styles:

• Finish #1: Your acrylic comes with 4 stylish standoffs along with a paper template to help you easily mount acrylic onto your wall. The standoffs bring the acrylic slightly off the wall giving it a very contemporary look.
• Finish #2:Backed with a floater frame and is a wood backing, about 2-3 inches away on the back of your art that allows you to hang it with a wire. This finish gives a unique effect as if the acrylic is actually floating off the wall, hence the name “floater” frame.

Aluminum

Looking for something truly unique? Aluminum is the finish for you. Now you have the option of transferring your art directly onto aluminum. The art acts semi-transparent, where the whites become metal and the colors remain in color but now have the metallic texture beneath them giving amazing results that take an already beautiful piece of art to an astonishing visual unlike any other. Each aluminum transfer is made on 1/8th inch sheets, with 1.5 inch of extra aluminum on the border around the art.

To finish your aluminum, you have the choice between two very unique and interesting styles:
